Overview
The Qotom Q30952UE is a compact network appliance built around six 2.5GbE copper ports and two 10GbE SFP+ uplinks, all from genuine Intel controllers — i226-V for the 2.5G copper and an X710-BM2 for the SFP+ pair. That combination is unusual at this price point, where most boxes use Realtek or a single controller shared across every port.
Qotom chose an Intel Core i5-8260U rather than an Alder Lake-N or Atom part. The result is a 4-core / 8-thread appliance with more single-thread headroom than the N-series boxes it sits alongside, which matters once you enable IDS/IPS, TLS inspection or per-flow logging on top of plain routing.
The chassis is a 196 x 122 x 47 mm black enclosure with a heatsink lid and an internal fan for airflow, powered from a 12 V barrel jack via an 84 W external supply. A dedicated RJ45 console port means out-of-band recovery does not depend on the network stack coming up.
