Overview
The Qualcomm Dragonwing IQ10 Series is Qualcomm's highest-performance industrial edge AI tier, aimed squarely at physical AI: autonomous mobile robots, humanoid robotics, heavy-duty industrial navigation and on-device vision-language and vision-language-action models. It pairs an 18-core Qualcomm Oryon CPU with a heterogeneous CPU, NPU and GPU architecture delivering up to 350 TOPS dense in module implementations.
For robotics integrators Qualcomm also publishes a Dragonwing IQ10 Robotics Reference Design — a fully enclosed, forced-air-cooled system rated for -10 C to +70 C and 12 V/24 V nominal input, scaling to up to 700 TOPS. It ships with 64 GB of LPDDR5x, 512 GB of UFS 4.0 plus PCIe Gen5 NVMe expansion, dual DisplayPort 2.1 outputs with MST, 2x 10G Base-T and 1x 2.5G Base-T Ethernet, 4x 1G Base-T EtherCAT, 8x CAN-FD and optional 5G. Up to 12 GMSL2 cameras, LiDAR, ToF and IMU connect natively, without additional hardware.
The platform's defining industrial feature is determinism. Safety Island (SAIL) provides error correction across processing, I/O and memory for ruggedness, while PCIe, TSN, USB, CAN and EtherCAT interfaces give production robots predictable timing for real-time control loops. Third-party hardware such as Innodisk's EXMR-QA01 module carries the IQ10 into COM-HPC Mini and custom carrier designs, and Qualcomm's Dragonwing longevity program commits to supply well into the 2030s.
Key Benefits
Robotics-grade AI compute — up to 350 TOPS dense (700 TOPS in the reference design) on an 18-core Oryon CPU with native sensor fusion for up to 20 MIPI or 12 GMSL2 cameras. Deterministic industrial I/O with TSN, EtherCAT and 8x CAN-FD, plus Safety Island error correction and long-term supply commitment.
Applications
Autonomous mobile robots and AGVs, humanoid and industrial robotics, VLM and VLA edge inference, warehouse and logistics automation, machine vision and defect inspection, and factory automation requiring real-time deterministic control.
