Overview
The Allwinner T536 is an industrial-focused SoC that treats memory integrity as a first-class requirement rather than an afterthought. Selected SKUs support inline ECC DRAM at capacities up to 6GB (or 8GB without ECC), and the SD and eMMC interfaces carry their own ECC protection - a combination that matters for 24/7 equipment where an undetected bit flip means a scrapped production batch.
Compute is provided by four Cortex-A55 cores running to 1.6 GHz, backed by an E907 RISC-V core for general real-time work and an E902 RISC-V MCU dedicated to low-power management. An optional NPU delivers up to 3 TOPS, positioning the part for vision-assisted inspection, interactive terminals and industrial gateways rather than heavy transformer inference.
Connectivity is unusually broad for the class: two Gigabit Ethernet MACs, a USB 3.1 port multiplexed with PCIe 2.1, four CAN-FD controllers and seventeen UARTs. The 8-bit NAND interface with 80-bit per 1KB BCH correction and the 4800x4224 offline ISP make the T536 a good fit for camera-attached industrial devices that must boot from cost-sensitive flash.
Key Benefits
Inline ECC DRAM with ECC-protected SD and eMMC storage, 3 TOPS NPU for edge vision, 4x CAN-FD and 17x UART of industrial I/O, and a -40 to +85C industrial temperature rating.
Applications
Industrial HMI terminals, smart manufacturing inspection nodes, industrial IoT gateways, multi-camera vision front ends, energy and building control devices, and cost-sensitive edge AI appliances.
