Overview

The Arduino UNO Media Carrier (ASX00083) is an open-hardware expansion board for the Arduino UNO Q and VENTUNO Q single board computers. Both hosts already expose MIPI camera, display and audio signals, but only through 60-pin JMEDIA and JMISC headers that are awkward to work with, especially in a product enclosure. The carrier terminates those signals on connectors a designer can actually route to.

Two 22-pin 4-lane MIPI-CSI connectors accept Raspberry Pi camera modules such as IMX219, and one 22-pin 4-lane MIPI-DSI connector drives Raspberry Pi compatible touch displays in 5-inch, 8-inch and 10.1-inch sizes. Audio arrives on three 3.5 mm jacks — a combined microphone input and headphone output, a line out for amplifiers, and a Class-AB differential earphone output.

Critically, both 60-pin host connectors are passed through, so the pins remain available for stacked modules rather than being consumed by the carrier. Exposed alongside are CCI I2C at 1.8V, MCU I2C4 at 3.3V, an 8-bit parallel PSSI camera interface and GPIO at both levels, with four RGB LEDs for status. Power can come from the host through the connectors or from a 7-24V DC input. At USD 19.25 it is the cheapest way to turn a UNO Q into a complete edge multimedia hub for AI kiosks, object tracking and interactive installations.
