Overview
The BIOSTAR EdgeComp MU-N150 is a compact 0.6-litre fanless industrial PC built around Intel's Processor N150 Twin Lake SoC. It targets edge computing, factory automation, HMI, POS and kiosk deployments where a small, sealed and maintenance-free enclosure is the primary requirement.
The system supports up to 16GB of DDR5-4800 memory and drives triple 4K video output, with dual 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet ports for network segmentation or redundancy. Expansion is provided through an M.2 Key-M slot for NVMe storage and an M.2 Key-E slot for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules. I/O covers two USB 3.2 and two USB 2.0 ports, an RS232 COM port and an audio jack, all powered from a wide 12-19V DC input range.
BIOSTAR positions the MU-N150 as a durable industrial alternative to the four-port 2.5GbE networking appliances commonly built on the same N150 silicon, such as the HUNSN RJ42/RJ43 and Protectli VP2430. The trade-off is deliberate: dual LAN instead of four, in exchange for industrial-grade construction, an RS232 port and ventless fanless operation.
The unit is fanless and ventless, so there are no filters to clean, no fans to replace and no intake for dust or metal swarf. Software support covers Windows 10 and 11 64-bit and Ubuntu.
