Overview
The Qualcomm Snapdragon X2 Elite is the 18-core Armv9 generation of Qualcomm's PC platform, designated Glymur 8480B / X2E-88-100. Twelve Prime cores clock to 4.7 GHz for single- and dual-thread work and 4.0 GHz all-core, joined by six Performance cores at up to 3.4 GHz.
AI throughput is rated at up to 80 TOPS, qualifying the platform for Windows Copilot+ PC features. The ASUS Ascent QN10 is the first mini PC built on it. Qualcomm also released an Early Developer Preview of Linux for the Snapdragon X2 Armv9 family, aimed at distribution maintainers and kernel contributors.
Key Benefits
80 TOPS on-device NPU runs Copilot+ features and local models without a discrete GPU; 18 Armv9 cores in a fanless-capable envelope; standard LPDDR5X memory subsystem keeps mini-PC designs compact; emerging Linux enablement opens embedded and edge deployment paths.
Applications
AI mini PCs and Copilot+ laptops, on-device AI inference, edge AI workstations, and embedded computing where a high-TOPS Arm host is preferred over x86 plus discrete accelerator.
