Overview
Lite-On's Common Redundant Power Supply line is the company's data center power platform, spanning 800 W, 1300 W, 1600 W, 2000 W, 2200 W and 3000 W in the standard CRPS envelope, with a 1600 W Titanium module and a 1600 W DC-input module for battery-plant feeds. The 3000 W unit is the top of the ladder and uses the deeper 265 mm CRPS housing that high-wattage modules need for their magnetics and thermal stack.
Lite-On positions this line specifically at cloud and hyperscale infrastructure — servers, storage and network chassis — alongside adjacent GPU power supplies and slim-format modules. The 12 V output with hot-plug N+1/N+N redundancy and PMBus/SMBus digital management matches the CRPS contract, so the module is interchangeable at the bay level with other compliant CRPS vendors, which is the commercial reason to keep more than one qualified source on a bill of materials.
Practically, the 3000 W class is what a four-module redundant shelf needs to reach the 10-12 kW envelope of a dense GPU node or a fully populated storage JBOD. Selecting the deeper 265 mm CRPS rather than the standard 185 mm means verifying chassis clearance before design freeze: the extra 80 mm of depth is where the higher-wattage magnetics and the larger heatsink stack live, and it is the usual integration error on a wattage step-up.
Key Benefits
3000 W in a 265 mm CRPS housing supports the highest-density single-bay deployments. One product line from 800 W to 3000 W with a common management interface. 1600 W Titanium and 1600 W DC variants cover efficiency-critical and battery-plant use cases. PMBus / SMBus digital management integrates with standard BMCs. Hot-plug N+1 / N+N redundancy. Vendor diversity against Delta/Bel/Advanced Energy CRPS lock-in.
Applications
AI/GPU server power shelves; hyperscale compute and storage racks; network switch and router chassis; cloud storage JBODs; DC-powered telecom installations (1600 W DC variant); multi-source CRPS procurement programmes; retrofit of lower-wattage CRPS bays.
