Overview
Delta's 106 kW HVDC power shelf is a building block of the company's 800 VDC power delivery for AI data centers. Several shelves combine into an in-row power system that delivers up to 1.1 MW inside a standard 19-inch footprint, taking 400-480 VAC in and putting out 800 VDC.
The shift to 800 VDC is driven by AI rack power density: raising the distribution voltage cuts current, copper and cable bulk compared with 54 VDC rack power or 480 VAC facility distribution. Delta has developed the shelf specifically to support NVIDIA's 800 VDC architecture and MGX-based systems, and positions the in-row design for data centers where floor space for traditional power rooms is the constraint.
Key Benefits
106 kW per shelf scales to megawatt-class in-row power. 800 VDC output matches the NVIDIA 800 VDC architecture. Up to 1.1 MW in a 19 in footprint saves floor space. 400-480 VAC input works with existing facility distribution.
Applications
Next-generation AI factories and GPU-dense data halls, MGX-based AI systems adopting 800 VDC, and hyperscale deployments where in-row power replaces centralized power rooms.
