Overview
Falcon4-CLHS is Teledyne DALSA's high-speed area scan platform. Camera Link HS delivers the bandwidth needed to stream 2 MP at 1,200 frames per second, or a 67 MP global-shutter image at 90 fps, over fiber or copper — throughput that GigE and USB3 link types cannot carry at these resolutions.
The family spans six production and pre-production models from the 2.2 MP / 1,200 fps FA-HM10-M2245 through the 67 MP FA-HM10-M8205, with a scientific variant for life-science imaging. T2IR (Trigger-to-Image Reliability) provides deterministic traceability of every frame, which is what makes the series usable in high-value manufacturing where a dropped image means a scrapped part.
Key Benefits
Up to 1,200 fps at 2.2 MP and 67 MP at 90 fps over Camera Link HS; T2IR trigger-to-image integrity; fiber-optic cable runs of hundreds of metres; 2.5 / 6 / 12 µm pixel options; multi-board synchronisation for very high channel counts; scientific-model variant for life-science and microscopy.
Applications
High-speed assembly and packaging inspection, drop and impact testing, ballistics and motion analysis, semiconductor wafer and die inspection, flat panel and display sub-pixel inspection, life-science and microscopy imaging, and any application where a full-resolution frame must be captured faster than 500 fps.
