Overview
The PCAN-LWL is a PEAK-System CAN interface. PEAK-System builds the PCAN-LWL around its own CAN controller implementation, so the interface presents a uniform API across the PCAN range (PCAN-Basic, PCAN-View and the Linux/SocketCAN drivers) while the physical layer is matched to the host form factor.
It is supplied from stock with the current firmware. The specification list below is taken directly from the manufacturer's product documentation.
Key Benefits
Genuine PEAK-System hardware with the full PCAN software stack. CAN FD capable where the model supports it. Isolated physical layer for industrial environments. Wide temperature range on the industrial variants. Long-term availability from the manufacturer.
Applications
CAN and CAN FD development, ECU flashing and diagnostics, vehicle and machinery test benches, industrial automation networks, and data logging where a host-side CAN interface or gateway is required.
