Overview

The MQM9790-NS2R is the reverse-airflow, externally managed build of the Quantum-2 QM9790. It carries the same 64 NDR 400 Gb/s ports on 32 OSFP connectors, the same 51.2 Tb/s bidirectional throughput and 130 ns latency, and the same SHARPv3 in-network computing support as the rest of the QM97XX family.

Connector-to-power airflow pulls air in at the port face and exhausts at the power-supply side, which is the correct orientation for switches mounted at the rear of a rack in a hot-aisle-exhaust layout. Getting this wrong is a common procurement error: an NS2R and an NS2F will both fit the rail kit and both pass link, but the rack will overheat.
