Overview
The Intel E810-XXVDA2 is the two-port 25GbE SFP28 member of the E810 family, on a PCIe 4.0 x8 interface. 25G is the current default server access speed, and the E810 is what makes it useful for latency-sensitive workloads: 256 queue pairs plus RoCEv2 RDMA and hardware PTP.
For AI clusters the practical benefit is storage and east-west traffic: RoCEv2 moves NVMe-oF traffic without CPU-side TCP stacks, while hardware timestamping supports the sub-microsecond discipline that distributed training and financial workloads require.
