Overview

UD info supplies industrial-grade SD and microSD storage as a one-stop line for embedded designs that cannot tolerate consumer card churn. The portfolio divides between 3D TLC parts for capacity-led applications, spanning 64 GB to 256 GB, and 3D pSLC parts from 16 GB to 32 GB that trade capacity for write endurance and wider temperature tolerance.

Thermal range is specified separately rather than assumed. Standard and Gold grades cover −25 °C to +85 °C, wide-temperature −40 °C to +85 °C applies to pSLC parts, and storage is rated to −40 °C to +85 °C. Cards run from a 2.7 V to 3.6 V supply at UHS-I Class 1 speeds, so they drop into existing SDIO and SPI host designs without a power redesign.

For programme managers the more important feature is supply continuity. UD info commits to a fixed bill of materials so that the qualified hardware and firmware configuration does not drift across the product lifecycle, and it offers firmware-level customisation including PID/VID identity, health monitoring, hardware write protection and secure erase. That combination — fixed BOM plus configurable firmware — is what makes these parts suitable for long-life industrial, medical and transport equipment rather than consumable accessory channels.

Key Benefits

Fixed-BOM supply commitments that keep qualified cards requalified-free across multi-year programmes; pSLC endurance options for write-intensive logging and edge recording; −40 °C to +85 °C wide-temperature operation on pSLC grades; firmware customisation with PID/VID, health monitoring, write protection and secure erase; and UHS-I Class 1 speed at 2.7–3.6 V for drop-in integration.

Applications

Industrial PCs and embedded controllers; factory automation and HMI boot media; inspection and mapping drones; transportation and fleet telematics; medical and diagnostic equipment; and edge AI gateways that log video or sensor data locally in unheated or outdoor enclosures.
