Overview
The Avalue VNS-10WAD is a 10.1-inch slim fanless touch panel PC at 1280 × 800 with a 10-point projected-capacitive touch layer, built on Intel's 6 W N50 Alder Lake-N processor. It is a front-of-house or bedside-class terminal rather than a ruggedised plant-floor unit: the operating range is 0 °C to +40 °C and the housing is an antibacterial-coated white PC+ABS, which tells you the intended environments are healthcare, food handling, retail and public-facing kiosks rather than an unheated factory bay.
The antibacterial coating is the differentiator. It is the specification buyers in clinical, laboratory, pharmaceutical and food-service settings ask for first, and it is not something a general-purpose industrial panel PC offers as standard. The unit ships with 8 GB of LPDDR5 and 64 GB of eMMC, Wi-Fi 6, an NFC reader supporting ISO/IEC 14443 A/B, 15693, 18092, NFCIP-1/2, MIFARE and FeliCa, and an RS-232/422/485 port on an RJ45 connector.
Mechanically it is 28 mm deep at 270 × 193 mm, with rear speakers driven by a Realtek HD Audio codec, two true-colour LED status bars on the front, and brightness, volume and power touch keys. Power is 12–24 V DC through a lockable jack, with optional PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at) for a single-cable installation. Avalue supports Windows 10/11 and Ubuntu 24.04 with full driver packages.
