Use Case
The SYS-421GE-TNRT3 is a direct-connect PCIe GPU system: every GPU gets its own PCIe 5.0 x16 path to a CPU root complex, so there is no PCIe switch between the host and the accelerators. That is the right topology for workloads that move data in from the host and the network rather than GPU-to-GPU — video analytics, VDI, inference pipelines, storage front ends — and it means the chassis can be re-populated with any double-width PCIe card including L40S, H100 NVL or RTX 6000 Ada. An optional NVLink bridge covers the two-GPU pairs that do need a fast peer path. 24 hot-swap NVMe/SATA bays and up to 13 PCIe 5.0 slots let one 4U chassis carry both the dataset and the 400G fabric.
