Overview
The Aetina MegaEdge AIP-RQ87 is a ready-to-deploy 2U edge agentic AI system aimed at enterprises and system integrators who need to stand up private LLM, RAG, AI-agent and multimodal workloads inside their own facility rather than in a public cloud. It pairs an Intel Core Ultra 5/7/9 processor on the Q870 chipset with dual PCIe Gen5 x16 expansion — configurable as one x16 or two x8 links — so the acceleration layer can be chosen per workload, not baked in at purchase.
Two accelerator families are supported: NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Workstation Edition (including the Max-Q variant) and the Qualcomm Cloud AI 100 Ultra card. The chassis is deliberately shallow at 500 mm for edge cabinets, and the engineering effort has gone into serviceability and power integrity: a dedicated Power Distribution Board feeds the 2000 W supply, and a tool-less modular GPU and SATA box allows accelerators and drives to be swapped without tools. Aetina specifies the platform to 10G shock and 1 Grms random vibration under IEC 60068 with two RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell cards installed, which is an unusually concrete claim for a 2U edge box.
