Overview

The PolarFire SoC Video Kit packages the MPFS250T — hardened 4+1 core 64-bit RISC-V plus a 254K LE low-power FPGA fabric — onto a carrier aimed at imaging. HDMI 2.0 input and output, a MIPI CSI-2 camera connector and dual GbE let a single board capture, process and stream 4K video without an external frame grabber, which is the shape most smart-camera and machine-vision products need at the prototype stage. Video processing is mapped into the FPGA fabric while real-time control and the network stack run on the hardened RISC-V cores. The board is programmed from Libero SoC and ships as ordering code MPFS250-VIDEO-KIT.
