Overview
The Trion T20 (ordering code T20F256C4) is Efinix's mid-range Trion FPGA: 19,728 logic elements, 1,044 kbit of embedded RAM in 204 five-kilobit blocks, 36 eighteen-by-eighteen multipliers and seven PLLs in a 256-ball, 13 × 13 mm FBGA with 195 GPIO.
The Trion architecture uses the company's Quantum exchangeable-logic-element fabric, which trades a small amount of LUT-level efficiency for a much smaller die area and hence a lower price point than comparable-density FPGAs. On top of that the T20 integrates a four-lane MIPI D-PHY with a CSI-2 controller and hard DDR3 / LPDDR3 memory controllers, so a complete camera-capture or low-cost video pipeline can be built without external PHY parts. Common uses are MIPI-to-parallel camera bridging, motor and motion control, LED and display driving, and general glue logic where cost dominates. Designs are built in the Efinity IDE. We supply the T20F256C4 factory-sealed through distribution channels — contact us for availability and pricing.
Key Benefits
Lowest cost per logic element in its density class; integrated MIPI D-PHY and CSI-2 controller; hard DDR3 / LPDDR3 memory controllers; small 13 × 13 mm footprint for space-constrained boards.
Applications
MIPI camera bridging and low-cost vision, motor and motion control, LED and display driving, industrial glue logic and I/O expansion, consumer and industrial video products.
