Overview
The XC7Z020 (ordering code XC7Z020-1CLG400C) is the most widely designed-in device in the AMD Zynq-7000 SoC family: 85K logic cells, 4.9 Mb of block RAM and 220 DSP slices of programmable logic paired with a dual-core Arm Cortex-A9 MPCore processor running at up to 866 MHz, all in a 400-ball CSBGA.
The processing system supports DDR3, DDR3L, DDR2 and LPDDR2 external memory and integrates USB 2.0, Gigabit Ethernet and SD/SDIO controllers with up to 128 dedicated peripheral pins, so no fabric is consumed by the usual host interfaces. It is the standard bring-up part for industrial control, motor drive, machine vision and instrumentation boards, and it is supported by AMD Vivado and Vitis. We supply the XC7Z020-1CLG400C factory-sealed through distribution channels — contact us for availability, lead time and pricing.
Key Benefits
Single-chip ARM processing plus FPGA fabric removes a separate host processor; deterministic peripheral set does not consume fabric; long-life industrial availability; AMD Vivado/Vitis toolchain.
Applications
Industrial motor control and drives, machine vision and imaging, automotive infotainment gateways, test and measurement, medical instrumentation, software-defined radio.
