Overview
The XCZU9EG is a 16 nm heterogeneous SoC: a quad-core Arm Cortex-A53 application processor, a dual-core Cortex-R5F real-time domain with lockstep option, an Arm Mali-400 MP2 GPU and 600,000 system logic cells of programmable fabric, all on one die.
Because the processing system and the fabric share memory, interrupts and a hardened interconnect, the ZU9EG is the standard choice where Linux-class control, hard real-time response and high-bandwidth FPGA signal processing must live on the same board — 16 GTH lanes at 16.3 Gb/s and two PCIe Gen3-class blocks handle the external I/O.
Key Benefits
One device replaces an application processor plus an FPGA plus a GPU, cutting board area, power and BOM. Cortex-R5F lockstep domain for functional-safety-relevant real-time tasks alongside Linux on the A53 cluster. Hardware root of trust and AES-256 bitstream encryption with eFUSE key storage.
Applications
Automotive ADAS and surround-view, industrial machine vision and inspection, 5G remote radio heads, drone and UAV flight control, medical imaging, and aerospace sensor processing.
