Overview
AMD Versal Premium Gen 2 Memory-on-Package (MoP) adaptive SoCs add an integrated high-bandwidth memory option to the Versal Premium Gen 2 family. The three new devices - 2VP3422, 2VP3522 and 2VP3622 - integrate up to 32 GB of LPDDR5X DRAM operating at up to 9000 Mb/s directly inside the package, removing high-speed memory routing from the carrier board and shrinking PCB area by up to 60 percent.
The underlying silicon retains the Versal Premium Gen 2 architecture: a dual-core Arm Cortex-A72 application processor, dual-core Cortex-R5F real-time cores and high-end adaptive FPGA fabric scaling to 3,273K system logic cells and up to 7,616 DSP engines for fixed- and floating-point DSP and ML workloads. Eight 32-bit hard memory controllers with inline ECC and encryption deliver up to 288 GB/s of on-package memory bandwidth.
Connectivity is datacenter-class, with 100G and 600G Ethernet MACs, two PCIe Gen6 x8 links with DMA and CXL 3.1 support through the hardened CPM6 subsystem, and up to 56 GTM2 transceivers running PAM4 or NRZ at up to 128 Gb/s. Hardened 400G crypto engines with PCIe IDE and DDR encryption address secure infrastructure requirements. QS Compute supplies and quotes Versal Premium Gen 2 MoP devices and development boards.
