Overview

The ICOP iBPC-N8MP is a compact, fanless Edge AI industrial box PC built on the NXP i.MX8M Plus platform. Its quad-core Cortex-A53 processor at 1.6 GHz pairs with an integrated Neural Processing Unit delivering up to 2.3 TOPS, letting machine vision, object detection, image recognition and predictive analytics run locally at the machine with no cloud dependency — cutting latency, protecting data privacy and reducing network traffic.

Despite measuring only 152 x 104 x 54 mm, the iBPC-N8MP carries full industrial connectivity: dual Gigabit Ethernet for network redundancy, up to four COM ports, two CAN buses, USB 3.0 and USB 2.0, 13-bit GPIO and audio. Display output supports HDMI up to 4K with an optional dual-channel 24-bit LVDS interface for embedded HMI development, and expansion comes via Mini PCIe plus an optional M.2 M-Key 2242 slot. Optional onboard TPM provides device authentication and system integrity protection for critical infrastructure deployments.

The chassis is a rugged fanless enclosure engineered for continuous 24-hour operation, with an optional wide operating temperature range of -20°C to 70°C for outdoor cabinets, factory floors, transport infrastructure and remote sites. Officially supported operating systems are Yocto Linux and Android, backed by complete technical documentation that shortens the path from prototype to production. Typical applications include smart factory automation, machine vision, healthcare equipment, intelligent kiosks and digital signage, transportation infrastructure and industrial IoT.
