Overview

The Samsung CMM-D (CXL Memory Module – DRAM) MD310 is a next-generation CXL Type-3 memory device that expands server memory capacity and bandwidth over an open CXL fabric. It supports CXL 3.2 over PCIe Gen6, delivering up to 72 GB/s between servers and pooled memory.

CMM-D enables multiple hosts to dynamically share and allocate pooled memory, improving resource utilization, simplifying scale-out, and reducing stranded memory in AI, analytics, and in-memory-database workloads. The E3.S form factor plugs into CXL-capable server slots (and CMM-B pooling boxes) for plug-and-play scaling. QS Compute supplies Samsung CMM-D modules for AI-server memory-expansion programs.
