Overview

LPCAMM2 (Low-Power Compression-Attached Memory Module 2) replaces soldered LPDDR and bulky DDR5 SODIMMs in AI-ready notebooks and workstations. A single module fills the full 128-bit CPU bus width, maximizing bandwidth for on-device AI and content-creation workloads.

Using LPDDR5X, LPCAMM2 reaches up to 7,500 MT/s (scaling to 9,600 MT/s), 1.3× faster than DDR5 SODIMM, while cutting system standby power by up to 80% and reducing the motherboard + socket + memory footprint by roughly 64% versus dual-stacked DDR5 SODIMMs. Unlike soldered memory it remains field-upgradeable. QS Compute supplies Micron Crucial LPCAMM2 modules for AI PC and edge workstation programs.
