Overview
The Advantech UNO-2484V3 is the third generation of the UNO-2484 modular embedded box PC, and the jump from the V2 is substantial: an 11th Gen Intel Core processor and DDR4 memory are replaced by Intel Core Ultra (Series 2) silicon and dual-channel DDR5-6400. The Arrow Lake-U parts run a 15W thermal design point with up to 14 CPU cores and 12MB of L3 cache, which is the configuration industrial users actually care about — enough multi-core throughput for local analytics without a power and cooling budget that rules out a sealed fanless chassis.
The platform is designed as an aggregation and local-processing node rather than a pure gateway: multiple LAN ports, multiple COM ports, USB and GPIO let it connect machines, sensors and plant-level systems on one box, then run real-time data acquisition and local analytics before forwarding to the cloud. Advantech highlights machine vision, predictive maintenance and multi-protocol data aggregation as the target workloads. Up to four independent displays can be driven from the same unit, which suits operator stations and multi-head HMI deployments.
Expansion follows Advantech's modular conventions — M.2 sockets for storage and wireless, plus iDoor modules for application-specific I/O — and the chassis is stackable so a second layer can be added without changing the footprint. The whole unit is fanless, which matters in dusty, greasy or wash-adjacent plant environments where a fan is the first thing to fail. Announced in August 2026.
Key Benefits
14-core Arrow Lake-U performance in a 15W fanless chassis, DDR5-6400 dual-channel memory for bandwidth-hungry vision workloads, four independent display outputs, M.2 and iDoor modular expansion, and the multi-protocol connectivity needed to aggregate a plant floor onto one node.
Applications
Industrial automation controllers, machine-vision pre-processing, predictive-maintenance data aggregation, multi-head HMI and operator stations, building and energy management gateways, and edge-to-cloud data concentrators.
