Overview
The Vantron IBOX3588 packages Rockchip's RK3588 into a fanless, aluminium industrial enclosure. The SoC brings four Cortex-A76 and four Cortex-A55 cores up to 2.4 GHz, a Mali-G610 MP4 GPU and a 6 TOPS NPU, giving the box enough local acceleration for object detection, people counting, perimeter analytics and other edge vision tasks without a discrete accelerator or a cloud round-trip.
Configuration scales from 8 GB to 32 GB of LPDDR4 with 64 GB to 128 GB of eMMC, and storage can be extended with a 256 GB to 1 TB SSD on either M.2 M-Key or M-Key/B-Key slots — useful when the box also has to retain footage locally. Dual Gigabit Ethernet supports camera-side and uplink separation, while Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1 and an M.2 B-Key path for 4G/5G cover wireless and cellular backhaul.
At 161.9 x 141 x 45.9 mm and 750 g with an IP40-rated metal case and a 12 V or 24 V distribution-block input, the IBOX3588 is designed for panel or cabinet mounting. Vantron offers a wide-temperature variant to -20 °C, IEC 60068-2-27 shock testing, and BlueSphere MDM/OTA tooling so deployments can be managed and updated remotely at scale.
Key Benefits
6 TOPS NPU plus 8K media pipeline handles multi-stream vision inference locally and efficiently. Fanless IP40 metal chassis with optional -20 °C operation suits cabinets, kiosks and light-industrial floors. Dual Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6 and 4G/5G options keep camera and uplink traffic independent.
Applications
Edge AI video analytics, smart NVR and surveillance aggregation, industrial IoT gateways, machine-side vision terminals, kiosk and digital-signage controllers, and ARM edge-computing nodes in automation cells.
